A Safety Message Brought To You By:
The State of New Hampshire
The Department of Safety
Division of Motor Vehicles
ATTENTION SNOWMOBILERS
Are you aware that when towing your snowmobile trailer or any trailer
that you need a continously free and unobstructed view of the right side,
left side and rear of your trailer?
TITLE XXI, MOTOR VEHICLES, CHAPTER 266
Miscellaneous Section 266:55
266:55 Mirrors -
No person shall drive upon any way any closed motor vehicle, or motor
vehicle so constructed, equipped, or loaded that the driver is prevented
from having a constantly free and unobstructed view of the way immediately
in the rear, unless there is attached to the vehicle a mirror or reflector
so placed and adjusted as to afford the driver a clear, reflected view
of the way in the rear of the vehicle.
(This notice was published in the September issue of the Sno-Traveler)
NOTE: In simple language, when towing a trailer, (mostly, but not
exclusively for enclosed trailers) if you do not have side mirrors
mounted on your towing vehicle that extend beyond the width of your trailer
or load on the trailer, you could be in violation.
We have placed this notice on our site because the NHSA as well as
some individual clubs were informed by public safety personnel of the need
to get the word out to our membership.
(Need we tell you that enforcement has been stepped up on this issue?
If you need to ask: Yes, it has!)
Please beware and be safe!
Look for the Colebrook Ski-Bees at the New Hampshire ATV & Snowmachine

Memberships will be available at the booth.
